These conditions govern access to and use of Polk County Criminal History. Reading the content, opening a page, or submitting a query means you accept them. Do not continue to use the site if you disagree with any term.

NO FCRA USE. Polk County Criminal History is privately operated and has no government affiliation. The site and its advertising partners do not provide a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act decisions. This is a Missouri records reference, not a private investigation service or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site is independent from every court and agency. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves them, conducts official checks, or files papers for a visitor.

Its role is to identify public sources, including the Polk County Sheriff and courts, Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository, and Missouri Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect readers with outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the site is conditioned on these limits. You may not:

  • Use site information to threaten, stalk, or harass a person
  • Apply the content to an employment, housing, credit, or insurance decision
  • Violate federal, Missouri, or local law
  • Access a system or account without authorization
  • Operate automated scrapers, bots, or similar tools against the pages
  • Disrupt access, performance, or security for other users

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No information obtained here or through a linked tool may be used to intimidate, discriminate against, stalk, threaten, or harass anyone. Missouri Sex Offender Registry data is provided for public safety, not vigilantism. Missouri law, including §589.425 RSMo, addresses registry violations, and the registry itself warns that using its data to facilitate a crime is illegal.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Polk County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Site information and linked tools cannot be used to:

  • Evaluate creditworthiness or insurance eligibility
  • Make a hiring or termination decision
  • Assess a rental or housing application
  • Decide eligibility for a permit, license, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

A lawful screening need must be handled through the appropriate official Missouri State Highway Patrol channel or a provider that complies with the FCRA.
