NO FCRA USE. Polk County Criminal History is privately operated and has no government affiliation. The site and its advertising partners do not provide a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act decisions. This is a Missouri records reference, not a private investigation service or consumer reporting agency.
1. What This Website Is
This private reference site is independent from every court and agency. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves them, conducts official checks, or files papers for a visitor.
Its role is to identify public sources, including the Polk County Sheriff and courts, Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository, and Missouri Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect readers with outside research tools.
2. Rules for Using This Site
Use of the site is conditioned on these limits. You may not:
- Use site information to threaten, stalk, or harass a person
- Apply the content to an employment, housing, credit, or insurance decision
- Violate federal, Missouri, or local law
- Access a system or account without authorization
- Operate automated scrapers, bots, or similar tools against the pages
- Disrupt access, performance, or security for other users
3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
No information obtained here or through a linked tool may be used to intimidate, discriminate against, stalk, threaten, or harass anyone. Missouri Sex Offender Registry data is provided for public safety, not vigilantism. Missouri law, including §589.425 RSMo, addresses registry violations, and the registry itself warns that using its data to facilitate a crime is illegal.
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
Polk County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Site information and linked tools cannot be used to:
- Evaluate creditworthiness or insurance eligibility
- Make a hiring or termination decision
- Assess a rental or housing application
- Decide eligibility for a permit, license, or government benefit
- Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose
A lawful screening need must be handled through the appropriate official Missouri State Highway Patrol channel or a provider that complies with the FCRA.
5. No Legal Advice
General information about Polk County records is not legal advice. Only a licensed Missouri lawyer can advise how a warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement rule affects a specific situation.
6. No Warranties
All content and services are supplied "as is." No warranty is made that:
- A partner's search result is complete or correctly matched
- Every fact remains current, complete, and accurate
- The site will operate without interruption
- The pages contain no error, defect, or security weakness
Charges, dismissals, expungements, and court entries can change after publication. Gaps may occur. Treat only a record issued by the proper court, sheriff, or state office as official.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
Links lead to government pages and outside services that we do not control. Their owners decide availability, content, fees, security, and data practices. Review the destination's terms before relying on it.
8. Intellectual Property
Text, graphics, code, and logos belong to Polk County Criminal History or the applicable content partner. They may not be copied, altered, distributed, or adapted without prior written permission.
9. Limits on Our Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for damages arising from site use or reliance on content obtained here or through a linked service.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims or demands caused by your use of the site or violation of these terms, including reasonable related legal costs.
11. Governing Law
Missouri law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to use of the site must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Missouri.
12. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be revised. A new version takes effect when it is posted here.
13. Cutting Off Access
Access may be suspended or ended at any time, with or without advance notice.
14. Severability
If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in force. The affected provision will be narrowed only as needed to make it enforceable.
15. Questions
Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
